Danzago’s new case comes hours after a Supreme Court ruling rejected the G7’s appeal against APC leaders backed by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje in Kano.

When the case was heard before Judge A. M. Liman on Friday, the plaintiff’s attorney, Christopher Oshomeghe, asked the court to grant the lawsuit on the grounds that two public officials failed to meet the requirements of the Constitution. of the party before competing for positions. .
Plaintiffs argue that contrary to the terms and rules guiding the party, Abbas and Sarina did not resign their interim committee positions prior to challenging the substantive positions at the state convention held. on October 16, 2021.
But counsel for the first and second defendants, Chief O. Offiong SAN, said his clients had not been served with the court papers.
Justice Liman ordered service of the court papers on the defendants by substituted means while he adjourned the matter till May 11, 2022.
Danzago, which has the full support of G7 APC members and loyalists under the leadership of Senator Malam Ibrahim Shekarau of the Kano Center, participated in parallel congresses held at the local level. and surrounding regions against the Ganduje group led by Mr. Abbas.
